Meet the CPA who’s redefining “traditional” accounting. I’m Greg Monaco, a licensed CPA and MBA on a mission to make accounting and tax services more personal, technology-driven, and impactful for individuals, families, and small businesses.
 
After years of honing my skills in the corporate world – including working with large publicly traded companies – I realized I wanted to make a more direct difference in people’s lives. Crunching numbers for big corporations was valuable experience, but it wasn’t fulfilling my deeper passion: helping real people achieve financial clarity and success. So, I left the Fortune 500 grind and founded Gregory Monaco, CPA LLC with a clear vision:

• No more faceless service. Every client deserves personal attention from an expert who truly cares. When you work with me, you get 100% of my time and devotion. I take pride in being approachable, honest, and genuinely invested in your success. You’ll never be passed off to a call center or a junior associate across the globe – I handle your accounting and tax needs personally, right here in New Jersey.

• Modern solutions for modern needs. The accounting field is evolving, and I embrace that. I leverage the latest accounting software, secure cloud tools, and automation to simplify the process for you. (Why should clients settle for outdated, “dinosaur-age” practices?) From virtual meeting capabilities to an encrypted client portal, I make it easy to collaborate no matter where you are. In fact, I serve clients nationwide – geography isn’t a barrier when technology makes us as connected as if we were in the same room.

The IRS may not care if you overpay on your taxes, but I do. I dig deep to uncover every deduction and credit you’re entitled to. (Fun fact: I’ve been known to comb through receipts and rulings with the tenacity of a detective, all to save my clients money legally.)

My Mission From day one, I set out to build a CPA firm that people enjoy working with (yes, even during tax season!). My mission is simple and drives everything I do:

• Support Small Businesses: Entrepreneurs wear many hats; my job is to take the financial hat off your plate. I provide bookkeeping and compliance support that keeps your business running smoothly. From choosing the right business entity and setting up your books, to handling payroll taxes and year end filings, I’ve got your back so you can focus on growth.

• Guide Crypto Investors: The crypto world moves fast, and the tax rules are complex. I have a special passion for cryptocurrency and blockchain accounting. Whether you’re investing in Bitcoin, minting NFTs, or earning staking income, I help you navigate the maze of reporting requirements and ever evolving IRS guidance. My goal is to ensure crypto investors stay compliant and optimized – so you can engage in this new frontier with confidence that your tax strategy is solid.

 
To achieve this mission, I continually invest in education and technology. I’m a member of the AICPA (because “America Counts on CPAs®”, and I take that seriously) and the NJCPA, which means I stay up-to-date with professional standards and attend training on the latest tax law changes. I also experiment with new software, apps, and workflow improvements to make our collaboration seamless. (Clients have appreciated things like e-signature for documents and real-time chat for quick questions.)
